Hohenlepte is a district of the city of Zerbst / Anhalt in the district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.
Until December 31, 2009 Hohenlepte was an independent municipality with the associated districts Badetz, Kämeritz and Tochheim. 225 inhabitants lived in a community area of 19.11 km² (December 31, 2008). On January 1, 2010 the incorporation into Zerbst / Anhalt took place . The last mayor of Hohenlepte was Johannes Schäm.
geography
The village of Hohenlepte four kilometers west of Zerbst extends from the lower Nuthe to the Elbe . The terrain of the municipality in the middle of the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve slopes slightly towards the Elbe. To the south of Hohenlepte are protected alluvial forests ( Steckby-Lödderitzer Forst ), which are home to beavers, among others .

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipalities Baditz and Kämenitz were incorporated.

Hohenlepte borders the Tochheim district on the Elbe , which shapes and decisively influences this landscape. According to local history, the linden tree has been a symbol of Hohenleptes since the 17th century. Transport links
The road connections from Zerbst to Calbe (Saale) and Barby lead via Hohenlepte.
