Tom J. Gramse

Tom J. Gramse (born August 4, 1940 in Lüben , Silesia ; † October 20, 1982 in Soest, Netherlands ) was a German painter , graphic artist , photographer and action artist .

Life

Gramse first studied "free graphics" from 1958 to 1963 at the Werkkunstschule Dortmund and then until 1969 at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Kassel "painting" with Arnold Bode , for whom he then worked as an assistant for two years. He worked for documenta 3 , 4 and 6 , where he was also represented in the “Hand Drawings” department. Since 1970 cooperation with H.-O. Kalkmann under team: gramse / kalkmann .

He worked as a lecturer at the Kunsthochschule Kassel (since 1976) and was a lecturer in the “Design” department at the FH Dortmund . Gramse died in 1982 shortly before his appointment as professor .
