Tour de France for automobiles 1985

The 1985 Tour de France for automobiles was held in France in autumn 1985.

The Tour Auto was only run in classes B and A this year. The favorites for overall victory were the two Renault works drivers Jean Ragnotti and Didier Auriol . Both started with Renault 5 Maxi Turbos . Auriol destroyed his R5 at the prologue and Ragnotti received unexpected opposition from Bernard Béguin , who was driving a Porsche 911 SC . In the end, Ragnotti was just able to prevail. Group A was won by Bertrand Balas in an Alfa Romeo .
