Tour de France for automobiles 1982

The 1982 Tour de France for automobiles was a stage race for automobiles from September 17th to 22nd in France .

87 participants tackled the Tour Auto in Paris this year . 38 of them reach their destination in Nice after five days . Renault got involved with three works Renault 5 Turbo , which were driven by Jean-Luc Thérier , Bruno Saby and François Chatriot . The four-time tour winner Bernard Darniche contested the race on a BMW M1 . Porsche drivers Bernard Béguin and Jean-Claude Andruet , who took part in the race with a Ferrari 308, were also favorites . After Darniche, who had been in the lead for a long time, could not finish the race, Andruet won the overall standings and thus repeated his previous year's victory.
