Trinitatiskirche Hainichen (Thuringia)
The Evangelical Lutheran Trinity Church is in Hainichen , a community in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia . Trinity in the community town of Hainichen is part of the parish Nerkewitz in the parish association Vierzehnheiligen of Jena West Region in the parish of Jena the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The hall church has a large roof tower in the east . In the west there is an annex for the sacristy . The church was built around 1657 using significant parts of a previous Romanesque building. In the east there is an inscription that bears the date 1657. The small round arched portal on the north side with archivolts and bulges at the corners, which end under the approach of the arch in small capitals decorated with gaff heads , also comes from the previous building . The slate-roofed tower has an eight-sided tower on which a hood with a lantern sits. The tall, segment-arched windows are from 1657.
The interior design and the church furnishings are from the 17th century. There are galleries on three sides and two-storey on the long sides. The pulpit altar has a narrow altar retable . There are winding pillars and the risen Christ on it . The nave is covered with a wooden barrel vault. On the north wall there are large remains of a scenic and ornamental painting with vines and angels making music from the 17th century. There is also a late Gothic tabernacle decorated sacrament house with a crucifixion group . The octagonal Romanesque baptismal font is now in the church cemetery . The bell from 1583 was cast by Eckhard Kuchen from Erfurt.
The organ with 14 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1821 by Johann Christian Adam Gerhard . The last renovation took place in 1981–1983.
