action
When a group of climbers get caught in a storm, people seek refuge in a cave. There they meet an elderly scientist who tells them the story of the wall paintings in this cave.
Tumak and the girl Loana belong to different tribes. Tumak, a member of the brutal rock tribe, is the chief's son and is cast out. He goes on a hike that takes him into a lush valley. This is where the people of the clam tribe live, where he meets Loana. Tumak is irritated by the helpfulness and friendliness of the foreign tribe. But he can show his appreciation for their help by saving a child from the attack of a dinosaur. However, when he takes a member of the tribe's spear, he is banished. Loana accompanies him.
Tumak returns to his tribe. Loana's gentleness makes the Rock Tribe people change their brutal mentality. The idyllic life is stopped by a volcanic eruption. The survivors of the tribe, including Tumak and Loana, take refuge in a cave. However, you cannot leave the cave when another dinosaur appears and lies in wait in front of the entrance. The people of the shell tribe who were also hit by the volcanic eruption come to the cave. Together with the rock trunk, they can kill the dinosaur. Both tribes then unite.
Reviews
“A bizarre adventure film, made with the collaboration of the silent film pioneer Griffith, in which - to mockery of all scientific knowledge - the people of the Stone Age have to grapple with snorting, tail-beating dinosaurs. Amusing trick shots at least provide some entertainment. "
