Jinan Subway
The Jinan Subway ( Chinese济南 地铁Pinyin Jǐnán Dìtiě or 济南 轨道 交通, Jǐnán Guǐdào Jiāotōng ) is the subway of the city of Jinan in the Chinese province of Shandong . The first route opened in 2019. In the long term, nine lines with a total length of 331 kilometers and 155 stations are targeted. Six of these lines are to run in the urban area and three in the suburbs. The goal is that by 2020 60% of all passenger transport will be made by public transport, and that rail transport will cover 15% of this.
Lines in operation
line 1
Line 1 runs north-south through the western outskirts of the city. On January 9, 2015, the construction of a 26.4 km long line with nine stations was approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform . Investments of almost 12 billion yuan and a construction period from 2015 to 2019 were estimated for this. On January 1, 2019, the route with eleven stations and 26.2 km in length, of which 9.9 km run in the tunnel, was put into trial operation and passenger service began on April 1.
Lines under construction or planning
Line 2
Line 2 will run in a west-east direction through the urban area of Jinan. On January 9, 2015, the construction of this 35.2 km long line with 14 stations was approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform. Investments of 19.9 billion yuan and a construction period from 2015 to 2019 were estimated for this. The line is to be operated with six-car type B vehicles and designed for a speed of up to 120 km / h. In November 2018, the commission approved an extension of the route by 1.2 km and an extension to 19 stations. The budget was increased by 2.9 billion yuan. The commissioning of line 2 was planned for March 2019 for 2021.
Line 3
Line 3 will run through the urban area of Jinan in a north-south direction. On January 9, 2015, the construction of this 19-kilometer-long route with eleven stations was approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform. Investments of 11.8 billion yuan and a construction period from 2016 to 2019 were estimated. The line is to be operated with six-car type B vehicles and designed for a speed of up to 120 km / h. Commissioning was planned for 2020 in March 2019.
