The Guiyang Subway ( Chinese贵阳 地铁Pinyin Guìyáng Dìtiě ) is the subway network of the city of Guiyang in the Chinese province of Guizhou . Its first line opened in 2017. In the long term, nine lines with a total length of 467 kilometers are targeted. The goal is that by 2022, 40% of all passenger transport will be made by public transport, and that rail transport will cover 30% of this.

Lines in operation

line 1

Line 1 runs from northwest Guiyang via Guiyang Nord station in a loop to the southwest of the city. Its construction was approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform on September 30, 2010 . The northern, 12.9-kilometer section between the North Railway Station and the Xiamaixi terminus went into operation on December 28, 2017. The southern, 22.3-kilometer-long section between the North Railway Station and the Xiaomeng industrial area went into operation on December 1, 2018. In total, Line 1 has 24 stations in this expansion stage. It is operated with six-car type B vehicles and is designed for a top speed of 80 km / h.

Lines under construction or planning

Line 2

On September 30, 2010, the construction of Section 1, Line 2 between Qiji Junction and Youzhai Road stations was also approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform . The route is to run over 27.6 kilometers with 24 stations and connect the districts of Baiyun , Guanshanhu , Yunyan and Nanming . The investment for this is 19.5 billion yuan. Construction phase 2 will lead from Youzhai Street station to Shuiyanba, be 12.8 kilometers long and have 8 stations. 8.4 billion yuan will be invested in this. A construction period from 2017 to 2022 is estimated. It is to be operated with six-part type B vehicles and designed for a maximum speed of 80 km / h.

Line 3

On July 11, 2016, the construction of Line 3 was approved by the State Commission for Development and Reform. The route is to cross Guiyang over a 40.7 kilometer route with 26 stations from northeast to southwest. Investments of 28.4 billion yuan have been budgeted for and construction will take place between 2016 and 2021. It is to be operated with six-part type B vehicles and designed for a maximum speed of 80 km / h.

Line S1

Line S1 should run from Wanchengbo to Gui'an, be 28.5 kilometers long and have 12 stations. A budget of 15.5 billion yuan has been budgeted for the construction of the S1 line and the construction time is estimated from 2016 to 2020. It is to be operated with six-part type B vehicles and designed for a maximum speed of 100 km / h.

Line S2

Line S2 is slated to run from Xinan Mall to Guiyang East Station . 16 stations are to be built on a 32.1 kilometer route. A budget of 30.4 billion yuan has been budgeted for the construction and a construction period from 2017 to 2021. It is to be operated with six-part type B vehicles and designed for a maximum speed of 100 km / h.
