The Konstanzer Straße underground station is a station on the Berlin underground line U7 . It is located at the Brandenburgische / Konstanzer Straße intersection in the Berlin district of Wilmersdorf , opened on April 28, 1978 and is part of the first northwest extension of the U7. The station is BVG -intern as Kn referred specifically has an escalator , but no elevator. It is therefore not barrier-free .
Building
The station was designed by Rainer G. Rümmler , whereby the coat of arms of the city of Constance , which gives the street its name, is reflected in the color scheme. The extended horizontal lines are meant to symbolize the speed of the subway.
As a consequence of the fire in the Deutsche Oper station , this station also received a second exit in May 2008.
At the end of 2018, the station, along with twelve other stations, was placed under a preservation order as a witness to the West Berlin subway construction in the 1960s and 1970s .
Connection
