Ulrich Ritter (makeup artist)
Ulrich Ritter (born October 23, 1963 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German make- up artist .
Live and act
After an apprenticeship as a hairdresser, which he completed as the best in the guild, he volunteered from 1985 to 1987 as a make-up artist at the Mainz State Theater , which was then still called the Mainz City Theater . From 1987 to 1992 he worked at the National Theater Mannheim as a make-up artist with a focus on acting. After engagements in theater projects in Frankfurt am Main , Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Offenbach as well as the Hessischer Rundfunk and Südwestfunk , he worked as a make-up artist in dozens of feature films. He was chief make-up artist in The Last Fiesta , Beyond the Rainbow , The Datsche , Love at the Last Minute , The Amber Amulet , Spreewald Crime: The Secret in the Moor , There Comes Kalle , The Captain and Tatort: Welcome to Hamburg . The historical film Henri 4 , in which Ulrich Ritter worked as a make-up artist, was nominated for a Lola when the German Film Prize for Make-Up Artists was first awarded .
Ulrich Ritter is a specialist in types and special effects such as artificial wounds and scars. As an SFX lecturer, he leads workshops in the field of make-up at EndorfinE - Stuntman for one day . In the model and dummy construction, he has equipped film productions with lifelike dolls, especially newborn and premature children who are able to move. These were used in, for example, the films Dresden , What in the end counts , Die Flucht , Meine Schöne Bescherung and Tarragona - A Paradise in Flames as well as the series Crazy About Clara , Die Familienanwältin , Der Dicke and Marienhof - in the Tatort episode Erntedank eV (2007) as the baby of Hanover Commissioner Lindholm, played by Maria Furtwängler .
