V (pronounced as "Five") is the fifth musical album of American pop-rock - band Maroon 5 .

History of origin

V was released on Interscope Records in late August 2014 . Keyboardist Jesse Carmichael , who had not played on the previous album Overexposed , returned for the album . The piece My Heart Is Open was recorded together with Gwen Stefani .

reception

The British magazine The Guardian was not very enthusiastic about the new album. They are of the opinion that most songs are forgotten shortly after they have been heard. The Süddeutsche Zeitung stated that the album was designed “primarily for the big-room diss”, the best thing about the album was that you could “forget the songs while you were listening”, because the lyrics were “worthy of neglect”.
