Valentina is a feminine given name . It is the feminine form of Valentin (Latin Valentīnus ), which is an adjective belonging to the Latin surname Valens with the suffix -īnus (mask., -Īna fem.) (Latin valēns ' strong, powerful, healthy being ', to valeō ). The word formation importance of Movierung lat. Valentīna is therefore 'to Valens Related' (o younger sister, daughter. Ä.), Personal names , however, can not always be translated. A Russian form of the name is Valentina .
