Veronika Groiss
Veronika Groiss (born February 11, 1977 in Homel ) is a Belarusian opera and concert singer ( soprano ).
Life
Veronika Groiss began her musical education with a degree in choral conducting in her hometown and at the Belarusian State Music Academy in Minsk , where she graduated with honors in 1997. She then began studying singing (solo singing and lied) at the Vienna Conservatory and graduated with distinction in both studies in 2005. She attended the operetta class with Wolfgang Dosch and Liane Zaharia , completed masterclasses with Patricia Wise , Axelle Gall , Robert Holl , Otto Schenk and Barbara Bonney and was a member of the opera class with Michael Pinkerton . This study section she finished with the Diplomierung for Master of Arts .
As a soloist with the Wiener Strauss-Kapelle and operetta interpreter, she took part in television appearances and concerts in Austria and Germany and has been working with the Franz Lehár Orchestra and the Vienna Waltz Orchestra since 2007 . She performed as an opera singer at the Neue Oper Wien and at the Wiener Klangbogen Festival and can be heard at concerts and recitals at the Schubertiade Vorarlberg , at the East-West Music Festival and at the candlelight concerts at Rosenburg Castle .
