history
The administrative community was founded on February 16, 1992. On December 31, 2013, the municipalities of Liebstedt, Mattstedt, Niederreißen, Niederroßla, Nirmsdorf, Oberreißen, Oßmannstedt, Pfiffelbach and Willerstedt merged to form a rural municipality of Ilmtal-Weinstraße . This became a fulfilling community for Kromsdorf. The former communities of Goldbach , Ulrichshalben and Wersdorf received local district status.
