Wersdorf is a district of the rural community Ilmtal-Weinstrasse in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia .

Wersdorf is located between Pfiffelbach and Niederroßla in an arable area near Apolda . The village is affected by the state road 1057.

history

The village was first mentioned on October 15, 1325. The place belonged since the middle of the 15th century to the Ernestine Office Roßla , which in 1572 to Saxe-Weimar , 1603 to Saxe-Altenburg , 1672 again to Saxe-Weimar and 1741 to Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach . During the administrative reform of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach, the place came under the Weimar II administrative district ( Apolda administrative district ).

70 inhabitants live in the district. The village was and is characterized by agriculture. Together with the member communities of the Ilmtal-Weinstrasse administrative community , Wersdorf became a part of the new rural community of Ilmtal-Weinstrasse on December 31, 2013 .

The church consecrated to Nikolaus von Myra is located in Wersdorf (built between 1789 and 1791). Since 2010 it has belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran Church as a parish church . Johannis parish Niederroßla. According to the inscription, one of the two bells (“Scholastica”) dates from 1550 and is considered to be the penultimate bell from the Peterskloster in Erfurt .
