Church in Rohrbach

The agricultural village was first mentioned in a document in 1248. In 1349 the Counts of Beichlingen and Sulzbach owned goods in the village as a fiefdom of the Wettins . In 1378 the place belonged to the Vogelsberg bailiwick . In 1650 the two princely outbuildings became two manors , Rohrbach becomes an estate village. During this time Rohrbach belonged to the Brembach Vogtei . After their division in 1662, the place remained with most of the Bailiwick of Brembach in the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar and in 1735 was affiliated to the Hardisleben office. In 1741 Rohrbach came with this to the Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach . The locations of the Hardisleben office belonged to the Buttstädt office since 1817 , which was opened in the Apolda administrative district of the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach in 1850 .

The current church was built in 1715 in place of the one that burned down in 1712.

The estate in the village was used for research in GDR times, the farmers were forcibly collectivized .

On January 1, 2019, the Rohrbach community was incorporated into the rural community of Ilmtal-Weinstrasse, previously it was part of the administrative community of Northern Weimar .
