The Mellingen administrative community is an amalgamation of the city of Magdala and 16 municipalities in the Weimarer Land district in Thuringia , Germany . Its administrative seat is in the eponymous municipality of Mellingen .

The chairman of the administrative association is Andreas Czerwenka.

The municipalities

history

The administrative community was founded on April 29, 1991. The city of Magdala voluntarily joined the administrative community on January 1, 2002, after the city of Blankenhain had previously been the fulfilling community. December 1, 2007 was Hohlstedt after Großschwabhausen incorporated.
