Vicky Krieps (born October 4, 1983 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgish actress .

Life

Krieps passed the Abitur at the Lycée de Garçons in Luxembourg, made her first acting experiences at the Conservatoire de Luxembourg, studied at the Zurich University of the Arts and was engaged at the Schauspielhaus Zurich . She has appeared in various television films and series, including the first episode of 2011 Frankfurt Tatort, A Better World . In 2014 Vicky Krieps played the title role in the ZDF production Elly Beinhorn - Solo Flight by Christine Hartmann with Max Riemelt , Christian Berkel and Harald Krassnitzer . In 2017 she played the female lead alongside Daniel Day-Lewis in Paul Thomas Anderson's multiple Oscar- nominated film The Silk Thread .

Krieps lives and works in Berlin . She has a daughter and a son with actor Jonas Laux .
