action

Maria I, a wanted national-Irish terrorist, and Maria II, a trained actress and singing song, meet by chance in a circus wagon in the fictional Central American state of San Miguel . The two protagonists teach each other what they do best: revolution and love. They also invent the striptease . Until the glorious victory over nasty dictators and arch-conservative and cunning clerics , they have to endure many dangers, captures and even medieval torture (unharmed, of course), until love finally wins and the splendid appearance in Paris beckons.

Reviews

"A full film full of absurdity and sparkling serenity, which arouses thoughtfulness through intelligent cheerfulness."

- Lexicon "Films on TV"

"Lively satire with two sex symbols."

“A parody of the adventure film, staged with enormous effort, which moves carefree between bloody seriousness and grotesque comedy, Hollywood-style spectacle and eccentric effects in the style of" Nouvelle Vague ". Excellent staged and top-class cast. "

“French star and super film, a spirited collection of gags, their preparation, their humor and means sometimes remain ambivalent. With this restriction possible from 16 onwards. "
