Career

Micov began his career at KK Roter Stern in his hometown before moving to local rivals OKK in 2003. A year later he went to KK Lavovi 063 in Belgrade, which had to leave the top national league in 2005 after three years of membership. After he had already won the U16 European Championship in 2001 with the Serbian-Montenegrin youth team, he won with the youth national team under coach Luka Pavićević, among others, together with Luka Bogdanović , Tadija Dragićević , Nikola Peković , Branislav Ratkovica , Uroš Tripković and Novica Veličković at the -European Championship 2005 a bronze medal. Micov then played at KK Budućnost from the Montenegrin capital Podgorica . After separating from Serbia in 2006, Budućnost was hard to beat within Montenegro and in March 2007 Micov returned to his hometown after winning the title in the Montenegrin Cup competition on loan and won their sixth national championship in a row with KK Partizan. When Partizan won the title for the first time in the ABA league in 2007, Micov, who had previously played for Budućnost, was not entitled to use. After Micov returned to Budućnost, he won the Montenegrin double from championship and cup competition with this team in the 2007/08 season . In the 2008/09 season they won the cup competition for the third time in a row, but before the next championship win Micov left the team again in March 2009 and played the season in the A1 Ethniki for Panionios from Athens . Panionios, however, was eliminated in the first play-off round of the Greek championship against Aris Thessaloniki .

For the 2009/10 season Micov got a contract with Caja Laboral from Vitoria-Gasteiz in the ACB league , which should win the Spanish championship that season and are counted among the leading clubs in Europe. However, Micov did not get a chance here as desired and in December 2009 they separated again. The following month Micov then got a contract with the traditional club from Cantu in the Italian Lega Basket Serie A . After finishing fourth at the end of the main round, they lost the play-off semi-final series against series champion Montepaschi Siena . In the following season they moved into second place in the play-offs and also reached the final series, which was then lost again to defending champion Siena. In the play-offs of the 2011/12 season you went in the first round as third in the main round with two wins in front, but lost the remaining three games against Scavolini Pesaro and retired early from the championship decision. Micov then received a contract with the European top club and ULEB Euroleague Vice CSKA Moscow. With the Russian series champion he was able to successfully defend his title in the Russian PBL and the Eastern European VTB United League in the 2012/13 season . At the " Final Four " of the {´ ULEB Euroleague 2012/13 Micov and his Serbian compatriots Miloš Teodosić and Nenad Krstić lost in the semifinals in a remake of the previous year's final against defending champion Olympiacos . In contrast to his Moscow teammates Teodosić and Krstić Micov has not yet been considered for a final squad of the Serbian national team .

In July 2014, Vladimir Micov signed a contract with the Turkish Association Galatasaray Liv Hospital.
