Volker Liedtke

Volker Liedtke (* 13. December 1950 in Regensburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was from 1996 to 2014 District Administrator of the District of Schwandorf .

Life

Liedtke was born in Regensburg in 1950 as the youngest of four children and grew up in Burglengenfeld. In 1970 he graduated from the Albertus-Magnus-Gymnasium in Regensburg . He then studied history, German and social studies for a teaching post in Würzburg until 1976 . After working as a trainee lawyer in Würzburg and Weiden, he became a teacher at the Carl-Friedrich-Gauß-Gymnasium in Schwandorf . He held this position from 1978 to 1996.

In 1981 he was one of the founding members of the citizens' initiative against the Wackersdorf reprocessing plant .

Liedtke, who is politically at home in the SPD, was elected to the city ​​council of Burglengenfeld in 1984. In 1990 he was elected to the district council . In the same year he also became the second mayor of Burglengenfeld and the second deputy to district administrator Hans Schuierer . In 1996, Liedtke himself was elected district administrator for the district of Schwandorf and thus the successor of his party colleague Schuierer. He was re-elected in 2002 and 2008 . In the local elections in 2014 , he decided not to run again. Since 2016 he has been President of the Upper Palatinate Cultural Association .

He also was the first time in 2008 in the county council of the Upper Palatinate selected. In 2013 he was re-elected. In February 2017 he was elected District Parliament Vice President.

Liedtke is married and has a son.
