Vomit the Soul was an Italian brutal death metal band from Lecco that was founded in 1999 and split up in 2011. The band was named after the Cannibal Corpse song of the same name .

history

The band was founded in 2000 by guitarist and singer Massimo "Max" Santarelli, drummer Maurizio "Ycio" Orsanigo and bassist Daniele "Denny" Brumana. The first rehearsals followed before the band held their first gigs and recorded their live album Hellish Live . In 2001 and 2002, the band held other appearances together with local bands. After the band had developed more songs, the group went to Avatara Studios in Milan to record the EP Human Insanity . Andrea Anghileri was represented as the new bass player. The EP was self-published in 2003, although the sound carrier was limited to 1000 copies. The band then held gigs in northern Italy together with national bands. In September 2004 the band recorded the demo Cuntless Promo 2004 . The demo was sent to various labels. In April 2005 the band got a contract with Comatose Music . The band then went to HeartBeat Studios to record the album Portraits of Inhuman Abominations , which was released in September 2005. In 2006 and 2007, the band held a variety of appearances, and played it on the Ludwigshafen Death Fest, the Neurotic Death Fest , the NRW Death Fest, the Insane Insanity Death Fest and the Under Grind Freak Party II and joined together with bands like Necrophagist , Infected Malignity , Arsebreed , Impure , Resection , Gorerotted , Psycroptic , Avulsed , Disavowed , Insidious Decrepancy , Prostitute Disfigurement , Sanatorium , Godless Truth , Emeth , Napalm Death , Sinister , Regurgitate , Leng Tch'e , Hour of Penance , Septycal Gorge , Wargore , Gadget , Gorgasm , Degrade , Carnal Decay , Putridity , Despodency , Inhume and Misery Index . Then the band went to work on their next album. In April / May 2008 the band finished recording at the 16th Cellar Studios in Rome . The album was released in early 2009 under the name Apostles of Inxepression after the band signed a contract for the release of two albums with Unique Leader Records in October 2008 . However, before releasing another album, the band broke up in 2011.

style

Alexander Eitner from metalnews.de assigned Apostles of Inexpression to Brutal Death Metal, whereby the guttural vocals are usually extremely deep and the drums are powerful. The use of breaks and tempo changes is also characteristic. In the songs the influence of bands like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation , Decrepit Birth , early Cryptopsy , Devourment and Beneath the Massacre can be heard.
