history
Gutsdorf, called Heinrichsdorf until 1945 , was founded in 1866. Between 1874 and around 1882 the village was included in the Henriettenhof district (from 1928 it was called " Althof district " (today in Russian: Orechowo)) and was then part of the Gallehnen district (today in Polish: Gałajny) until 1945 , and " Topprienen district " from 1930 assigned and so until 1945 belonged to the district of Preußisch Eylau in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1910 the village was inhabited by 89 people.
On September 30, 1928 Heinrichswalde lost its independence; the district Gut Grünhöfchen (today Polish: Grądzik) was spun off from the manor district Heinrichswalde and assigned to the rural community Tenknitt (Russian name: Muromskoje, no longer existing), the rest of the Gutsdorf Heinrichswalde came to the rural community Topprienen .
As a result of the war, the village was transferred to southern East Prussia to Poland in 1945 and is now a village in the Gmina Górowo Iławeckie in the Powiat Bartoszycki .
church
Evangelical
Until 1945 the population of Heinrichswaldes was almost without exception Protestant denomination. The village belonged to the parish of the church Klein Dexen (Russian: Furmanowo, no longer existent) in the parish of Preußisch Eylau within the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . Due to the flight and expulsion of the local population, Protestant church life almost came to a standstill. The few Protestant church members living here today now belong to the parish of Bartoszyce (Bartenstein) , a branch of the parish in Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
Catholic
Today almost only Catholic church members live in Wężykowo . They are assigned to the parish church in Górowo Iławeckie in the deanery Górowo Iławeckie in the Archdiocese of Warmia of the Catholic Church in Poland .
