The WFV Cup 1989/90 was the 37th edition of the men's cup competition in Württemberg amateur football. The defending champion was the former league team SC Geislingen . In the final on May 1, 1990, SSV Reutlingen 05 won the title with a 3-0 win over FC Wangen 05 in the home stadium at the Kreuzeiche . This was the second time that the club won the national cup. In the semifinals, SSV Reutlingen had defeated the team of the regional division SC Korb 2-0, which was looked after by the later Reutlinger and Bundesliga coach Ralf Rangnick .
Both finalists qualified for the DFB Cup 1990/91 when they played in the final and were eliminated in the first main round. Despite a 3-1 lead against Bundesliga club Karlsruher SC, the Reutlinger Cup winner was eliminated with a 6-3 defeat after extra time, while FC Wangen lost 2-1 to second division Rot-Weiss Essen .
