WFV Cup 2009/10

WFV Cup winner in 2010 was the term of his league club VfR Aalen , which in the final on 26 May 2010 at the Ulmer Donaustadion the FV Illertissen defeated. By winning the WFV Cup, the club qualified for the 2010/11 DFB Cup .

The title win was the seventh cup victory in the history of VfR Aalen, so the club caught up with the record cup winner SSV Ulm 1846 . In the same year, the team also won the championship in the Regionalliga Süd 2009/10 and rose to the 3rd division . The Baden-Württemberg league club from Illertissen missed winning the title again after 1963 when it took part in the finals for the second time , and two years later the club left the remit of the Württemberg soccer association and switched to the Bavarian soccer association .

The first three rounds of the cup competition were held in four regional groups. From the last sixteen onwards, the association played.
