WFV Cup 2011/12

The WFV-Pokal 2011/12 `was the 60th edition of the WFV-Pokal as the highest cup competition of the Württemberg Football Association . The then third division 1. FC Heidenheim defended its title with a 2-0 final win over SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . By winning the WFV Cup, the club qualified for the DFB Cup 2012/13 .

The title win was the fourth cup win in the history of 1. FC Heidenheim, which had reached at least the semi-finals in the four previous years. In the following two seasons, the team defended the title before they were no longer eligible to participate after promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga . The regional league team from Großaspach, who competed in the final as runner -up in the 2011/12 regional league season , missed winning the second title after 2009 when they played for the second time .

The first three rounds of the cup competition were held in four regional groups. From the last sixteen onwards, the association played.
