The Meißen-Dresden West constituency was a state electoral district in Saxony that existed for the 1994 and 1999 state elections . It had constituency number 39. The constituency area comprised part of the district of Meißen , which existed before the district reform in 1994 . This was to merge on August 1, 1994 in a planned district of Meißen-Dresden. However, the district of Dresden sued the Saxon Higher Administrative Court against its dissolution. Since the lawsuit was unsuccessful, the district was dissolved on January 1, 1996. The constituency area became part of the Meißen district which, however, was called the Meißen-Radebeul district until February 28, 1997 . The district became part of the new district of Meissen in the course of the Saxon district reform in 2008 . Between 1994 and 1999, the constituency area consisted of the following cities and communities: Deutschebora , Diera , Gauernitz , Helbigsdorf , Heynitz , Käbschützal , Ketzerbachtal , Klipphausen , Leuben-Schleinitz , Lommatzsch , Meißen , Nossen , Scharfenberg , Tanneberg , Taubenheim , Triebischtal , Wilsdruff and Zehren . Meißen 1 became the successor to the electoral district of Meißen-Dresden West in 2004 , but the municipalities of Niederau and Weinböhla were added.
