The Südliche Weinstrasse constituency (constituency 49) is a state electoral district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It emerged from a constituency reform in 1989 and initially comprised the municipalities of Annweiler am Trifels , Bad Bergzabern , Herxheim and Landau-Land , all of the southern Weinstrasse district . For the 2006 state elections, the community of Kandel , district of Germersheim, was added.

The constituency is the residence of the former Prime Minister Kurt Beck (1994–2013), who has always been able to win the direct mandate since the constituency was established from 1991 to 2016.
