Valentin Jotow ( Bulgarian Валентин Любомиров Йотов , at the World Chess Federation FIDE Valentin Iotov ; born September 6, 1988 in Pleven ) is a Bulgarian chess player .
He won the Bulgarian individual championship in Swilengrad in 2006. He played for Bulgaria at four Chess Olympiads : 2006 , 2008 , 2014 and 2016 . He also took part twice in the European team championships (2003 for the second team and 2009).
In 2004 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM), in 2008 the title of Grand Master (GM).
