Walter Rieger (politician)
Walter Rieger (born December 5, 1908 in Cologne ; † August 1, 1989 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( FDP ).
Life and work
After graduating from high school in 1928, Rieger studied law and political science at the University of Cologne . It was 1932, the first state examination, doctorate in 1933 for Dr. jur. and finished his studies in 1937 with the second state examination in law. From 1937 to 1939 he worked as a court assessor and research assistant at Cologne University. After his appointment as district judge in 1940, he worked as an advisor to the Reich Commissioner for Pricing in Berlin . From 1941 he was employed as a staff director at the Army High Command (OKH). Most recently he was taken prisoner by the United States.
In 1946, Rieger was employed as a consultant at the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of Economics in Düsseldorf . From 1949 to 1957 and since 1959 he worked as a lawyer and specialist lawyer for tax law in Cologne-Lindenthal .
Political party
Rieger joined the FDP in 1952 and was chairman of the district honorary court of the FDP in Cologne from 1953 to 1957.
MP
Rieger was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1965. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
Public offices
Rieger officiated 1957/58 as the district president of the administrative district of Cologne .
