Walter Zelinski

Walter Zelinski (born October 4, 1948 in Elmshorn , Schleswig-Holstein ; † December 21, 2019 ) was a German teacher , radio presenter and Low German author .

Life

After finishing school, he first did an apprenticeship as a heating fitter in Hamburg . There he then studied second education and became a teacher. From 1976 until his retirement in 2012 he taught at the integrated comprehensive school Trappenkamp , today Richard Hallmann School , from 1989 as headmaster.

Zelinski also worked for NDR 1 Welle Nord and initially wrote Low German glosses on sporting topics. In April 1997 he became the author and permanent presenter of the series Hör mal 'n prayen to . He also published a number of books and audio books with Low German short stories and glosses.

Walter Zelinski was married and had one daughter.
