Walter Zuckerer

Walter Zuckerer (born June 14, 1947 in Straubing ) is a German officer and politician ( SPD ). From 2002 to 2004 he was chairman of the parliamentary group of the SPD Hamburg .

Life

Zuckerer attended elementary school and the humanistic grammar school in Munich . After graduating from high school in 1966, he studied political science , public law , economics and economic and social history in Hamburg . He graduated in 1980 with a diploma in political science . From 1966 to 1976 he was a professional soldier, a. a. at the 17th Panzer Grenadier Brigade , and later Captain of the Reserve. He attended the Army Officer School II in Hamburg and was one of the "Leutnanten 70".

From 1979 to 1981 a position as a scientific employee in a research project of the German Trade Union Federation (DGB) in Hamburg followed. He worked again as a research assistant from 1984 to 2002 at the Hamburg economic authority.

In addition to his parliamentary work, he is a member of the Ver.di trade union , volunteer on the board of the development aid organization "Worldwide Partnerships" and in the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB).

politics

Zuckerer has been a member of the SPD since 1973. He was chairman of the left "Övelgönner Kreis" of the SPD Hamburg. From 1980 to 1994 he was chairman of the SPD district of Altona and a member of the SPD state executive .

From 1993 to 2008 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . From 1997 to 2001 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group and from 2002 to 2004 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. He represented his parliamentary group there in the Budget Committee, the Culture Committee and the Committee on Public Service and Human Resources.
