The coat of arms of Estonia is the coat of arms of the Baltic Republic of Estonia. The coat of arms in its current form has been in use since 1990 and was in use from 1918 to 1940. Another coat of arms was used by the Soviet Union as a symbol of the Estonian SSR for the period 1940-1990 .

On the golden shield are three blue, red armored and tongued leopards on stakes . The shield is wreathed with golden oak leaves.
history
Originally this was the coat of arms of the Estonian knighthood and was also used by the Russian governorate of Estonia . It is also the coat of arms of the capital Tallinn .
It is derived from the Danish coat of arms as the city was founded by Denmark.
