The coat of arms of Kosovo , which the parliament officially adopted when proclaiming independence on February 17, 2008, shows like the flag of Kosovo six silver stars in an arch and the outline of Kosovo in gold on a blue background. The edge of the coat of arms is also in gold.

Official sources specify a brownish tone for the gold of the coat of arms, while in general use a strong yellow predominates.
