Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide is a first person shooter that was developed and published by the Swedish developer Fatshark. The plot is based on the Warhammer Fantasy universe. The game was released for Windows on October 23, 2015. A release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is announced for October 4th, 2016.

action

The game is about an invasion of the city and the surrounding area from Übersreik by Skaven , ratmen mutated by chaos , who invade the human empire and devastate it. A group of heroes consisting of Victor Saltzbrand the witch hunter, Kerillian the elven ranger , Bard Goreksson the dwarf border runner, Sienna Fuegonasus the fire magician and Markus Kruber a Feldwaibel (Feldweibel / Feldwebel) of the Imperial Force arrives and tries the city before the To preserve doom. They operate from the Zum Roten Mond inn and are supported by Olesya the driver as an escape driver after their assignments are over.

Gameplay

The game's mechanics are largely based on Left 4 Dead . A team of four players has the task of fulfilling level-specific goals, with hordes of Skaven trying to prevent the group from reaching this goal. Each player has the choice between five playable characters, whereby each character can only be present once in the group. RPG elements are given by unlocking and improving weapons, of which each player can bring two (a melee and a ranged weapon) into battle. After successfully completing a level, the result of a die roll determines the reward earned.

Development history

Fatshark received a license from Games Workshop to develop a Warhammer game in 2013 . The development of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide began in the same year. The Fatshark team decided to bring the game out themselves to maximize their creative freedom in development.
