Weißbachmühle (dialect: "waęsbagsmǖl") is a district of the town of Merkendorf in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
To the north of the wasteland , the Speckgraben flows into a pond that is used as a natural swimming pool. The Weißbach, which is a left tributary of the Braungartenbach, rises near the village. About one kilometer to the west is the Kreuth corridor, and about one kilometer northwest of the Langeck corridor. The place is on a community road that leads to Willendorf (1.3 km west) and Merkendorf to state road 2220 (0.7 km east).
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1437. In the deed, Margrave Friedrich von Brandenburg allows the Heilsbronn monastery to build a new mill “located vnter des Schonmans weyer on the Weischpach Bey Mirckendorf”. After the secularization of the monastery during the Reformation, it was subordinate to the now Brandenburg-Ansbach administration office of Merkendorf . During the Thirty Years War the property became deserted. In 1641 it was sold again to a Mr. Hönig for 56 florins and occupied.
Towards the end of the 18th century, the Weißbachmühle belonged to Merkendorf. She continued to hold the Merkendorf administrator's office as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Weißbachmühle received the number 139 of Merkendorf when the house numbers were assigned. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach .
As part of the municipal edict , the Weißbachmühle was assigned to the Gerbersdorf tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Gerbersdorf, founded in 1810 . After 1820, but at the latest in 1824, the Weißbachmühle was re-ceded to the municipality of Merkendorf; In 1824 the Weißbachmühle belonged to the municipality of Merkendorf.
Flour was ground there until well into the 20th century. The Weißbachmühle has a natural open- air swimming pool that was created in 1969 and opened a year later. It is fed by the Speckgraben. From 2007 to 2018, the natural outdoor pool was completely renovated and modernized by the city of Merkendorf. A new kiosk and sanitary building was built and a mobile home parking space was created.
