history

The very common place name "Neuses" (= to the new seat) makes it difficult to unequivocally assign historical documents to the respective Neuses. The following evidence is very likely to relate to today's Merkendorf district.

In 1275, Count Konrad von Oettingen, with the consent of his wife Agnes, sold all of his properties in several places to the Nuremberg citizens Konrad Vorhtlin and Hermann Steiner, including his property in “Nuwesez”. Countess Agnes von Oettingen confirmed themselves selling their Widem -Güter including "Niusez". In 1282 an arbitration tribunal confirmed the acquisition of 1275 to Heilsbronn Monastery and the two Nuremberg residents. A receipt from around 1300 states that the tithe belongs to the Bishop of Eichstätt . In 1334 a Konrad Toms sold the part of his estate in the village that he had acquired from the Lords of Muhr to the Heilsbronn monastery. In 1363 a Konrad Amman von Weidenbach left his estate at Biederbach to the Deutschordenskommende Nürnberg in exchange for a fiefdom to "Newsaez". In 1402 seven subjects to "Newseß" the Heilsbronn monastery are liable to tax, in 1407 two subjects to the eichstättisch-episcopal office in Arberg and in 1423 from one subject to the municipal bailiff's office in Eschenbach . In 1432 a Friedlein Witzmann prescribed his own little good in the village to the bishop of Eichstätt, for which he took him under his protection and protection. At the beginning of the 16th century, only five subjects paid interest to the Merkendorf office of the Heilsbronn monastery. In 1551 a subject of the Altenmuhr lordship was subject to tax. The following description of ownership is available for 1616: Of the total of ten subjects in the village, four belonged to the Merkendorf office , two were from Lentersheim , two were eichstättisch and subordinate to the Ornbau office, and two now earn interest from the Teutonic Order in Eschenbach . There was also a shepherd's house. In 1665 six subjects were subordinate to the margravial office of Merkendorf, two subjects each belonged unchanged to the three other manors listed as early as 1616. The (parish, tax-free) shepherd's house is also mentioned again.

In 1732 the manorial structure changed as follows: four half-farms and one estate belong to the margravial administration office Merkendorf, two subjects are lentersheim, one subject pays the caste office Wassertrüdingen , two subjects each interest to Ornbau and to Eschenbach; there is still the community shepherd's house. The subjects of the Merkendorf administrator's office are in the Evangelical parish of Merkendorf, the rest of them in the Catholic parish of Ornbau. The authority of the municipality lay with the Ornbau office, while the Fraisch inner Ettern was exercised by the respective landlord over his rear seat and the high Fraisch was perceived by the Margravial Oberamt Windsbach .

By the end of the 18th century there were 12 households in Neuses. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach , and the village and community rulership was held by the Eichstätt caste and city bailiff's office in Ornbau . The landlords were the Principality of Ansbach ( Merkendorf administration office : 5, Wassertrüdingen box office : 1), the Eichstätt monastery ( Arberg-Ornbau box office : 1, Ornbau box and city bailiff: 1), the German Order (Eschenbach city bailiff: 1, parish and beneficiary foundation Eschenbach : 1) and Rittergut Altenmuhr (2). In addition to the households, there was the shepherd's house, which was a communal building.

Until the end of the Old Kingdom nothing changed in the manorial estates. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the Justice and Chamber Office Windsbach . The number of properties remained unchanged.

As part of the community edict, Neuses was assigned to the Hirschlach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Hirschlach, founded in 1810.

From 1812 the children of Neuses attended school in Hirschlach; since the school there was closed, they have been commuting to Merkendorf. In 1912 Neuses and Hirschlach were connected to the power grid of the Franconian overland plant . In 1970 the sewer system was built in Neuses. In the same year, the empty parish hall was demolished and a fire station with a parish machine hall was built in its place . In 1975 the village with Hirschlach was connected to the long-distance water pipeline of the Reckenberg group ; the wastewater has been pumped to the Merkendorf sewage treatment plant since 2006.

In the course of the Bavarian municipal reform , the municipality of Hirschlach and with it Neuses came from the dissolved district of Gunzenhausen to the district of Ansbach on July 1, 1972, and was incorporated into the town of Merkendorf on May 1, 1978.

From 2002 to 2007 the city of Merkendorf in Neuses had the village renewed; a village square with a fountain was created at the former extinguishing water pond and a new bus shelter with a bell ridge was built. In 2008 the village consisted of 24 house numbers. There is a biogas plant in the village that is operated by a private individual.
