The Weifaer Höhe (504 m) is a mountain in Saxony , district of Bautzen .

It is located about 1 km northeast of the village of Weifa and belongs to the Lausitzer Bergland . The forest water and the pilk spring from the mountain . From the Weifaer Höhe there is a panoramic view of the peaks of the Jizera Mountains , the Jeschken and the Zittau Mountains with their highest elevation, the Lausche . On the Bohemian side you can see: the Kreibitzer Bergland , the Pirsken , the Růžovský vrch (Rosenberg), the Tanzplan and finally the Hohe Schneeberg . You can also see the Valtenberg and, if visibility is good, the long ridge of the Ore Mountains .

The valley between the Weifaer Höhe and the opposite mountains near Wehrsdorf is known as hell. The word was derived from Hohle, the property named here absorbs the rivulets from the mountains until they become forest water . Here you can ski down in winter. In the summer when the heat is severe, the valley can really be perceived as "hell". Since the mountain slopes are very steeply inclined to the position of the sun, the sun is still warm here when it is already cool in the mountains.

Finally, near Göda , there is the village of Dahren , after which the 492-meter-high Dahrener Berg , located northwest of the Weifaer Höhe, was named. The manor Dahren acquired the mountain forests located here. Today the forests are owned by the cathedral monastery of Bautzen .
