The Welzbachtalradweg is an approximately 12 kilometer long cycle path along the Welzbach valley from Werbach in Baden-Württemberg to the communities of Altertheim in the Bavarian district of Würzburg - where it is called the Altbachtalradweg . It is part of the connection between the Taubertal Cycle Route and the Main Cycle Route near Würzburg .

Profile and characteristics
The Welzbachtalradweg runs gently upwards in the Welzbachtal from Werbach (confluence of the Welzbach into the Tauber in Baden-Württemberg's Main-Tauber district) to Oberaltertheim (source of the brook, which is known as Altbach in the Bavarian district of Würzburg ) without any major gradients. The bike path is paved the entire route and is easy to drive on.
The Welzbachtal cycle path leads directly past the famous Liebfrauenbrunn pilgrimage chapel between Werbach and Werbachhausen. There is a healing spring under the pilgrimage chapel, from which pilgrims from a large area fetch water free of charge.

The journey can be continued on a bicycle in both directions. In Werbach on the Taubertal cycle path downstream via Niklashausen , Gamburg , Bronnbach and Reicholzheim to Wertheim . Or also from Werbach on the Taubertal cycle path upstream via Tauberbischofsheim , Lauda-Königshofen , Bad Mergentheim , Weikersheim and Creglingen to Rothenburg ob der Tauber . In Altertheim there is a connection to the Main Cycle Path in Würzburg via further cycle paths via Waldbrunn, Eisingen and Höchberg . The Main-Tauber-Fränkische Rad-Achter can also be controlled at both ends of the cycle path.
The adventure tour No. 5 of the Liebliches Taubertal tourist association leads through the Welzbach valley .
Hikers can continue their journey on the Jakobsweg Main-Taubertal from Werbach .

Via Werbach, the Lauda – Wertheim railway line can be reached in Hochhausen or Tauberbischofsheim , which also serves bicycle tourism in the Taubertal.
