Werner Neubauer (statistician)

Werner Neubauer (born November 5, 1935 in Nuremberg ; † April 9, 2015 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German economist and statistician .

Life

From 1955 to 1960 Neubauer studied economics and law at the universities in Nuremberg, Munich, Freiburg im Breisgau and Frankfurt am Main. After graduating with a degree in economics in 1960, he worked as a research assistant or assistant at the statistical seminar at the University of Frankfurt am Main . In 1966 he was in Economic and Social Sciences with the dissertation Macroeconomic cost structures in the system of statistics of the national product and the input-output interconnection to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. He completed his habilitation in 1971 at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences with the thesis strategies, techniques and effects of monetary and credit policy. A theoretical and empirical study for the Federal Republic of Germany and received the Venia legendi . In 1971 he became a full professor for statistics and econometrics at Saarland University in Saarbrücken. From 1986 to 1987 he was chairman of the economic and social science faculty conference . Neubauer was u. a. Co-editor of the yearbooks for economics and statistics .
