Werner Parecker

Werner Parecker (born March 5, 1979 in Hildesheim ) is a German church musician and composer .

Life

Parecker studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Wolfgang Kreuzhuber, Albert Anglberger and others and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Peter Planyavsky , Martin Haselböck , Wolfgang Sauseng and others, Catholic church music and composition . He passed the A-exam and received two magister artium degrees . Parecker expanded his studies with master classes with organists such as Daniel Roth , Christopher Stembridge, Lorenzo Ghielmi , Lucy Hallmann Russel and Michael Radulescu .

From 2007 to 2013 Parecker was district cantor of the Catholic parish Pope Johannes (KKPJ) in Hamm-Heessen . Since August 2013 he has been the regional cantor of the Catholic provost church of St. Nikolaus in Kiel and a certified organ expert for Schleswig-Holstein . He is also a member of the Church Music Commission for the Archdiocese of Hamburg .

Appearances as a soloist and ensemble musician have taken him to important organs in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the United States (Wichita, New York) and as an ensemble singer at the operas of Cairo and Alexandria in Egypt. Werner Parecker's works were also premiered by the soloists Julia Henning, Susan Gouthro, Elisabeth Flechl, Anne Görner, as well as the Kiel Philharmonic, the Bremer Handbell Choir and the Elbtonal Percussion . ZDF broadcast the world premiere of the Messe des clochettes as part of the television service on May 20, 2018 .
