Wilhelm Heinrich Adolph von Kalckreuth (born April 15, 1735 in Schwedt / Oder , † December 21, 1811 in Gut Siegersdorf near Elbing ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

Wilhelm Heinrich Adolf came from the noble family Kalckreuth . He was the son of the Prussian colonel and commander of Emden Ernst Georg von Kalckreuth (1690–1763) and his wife Anna Juliane, born von Stoessel († 1779 in Emden).

Military career

Kalckreuth became an ensign in his father's garrison regiment in Emden as early as 1747 . With the regiment he took part in the campaign in 1756/63 and fought near Roßbach , Leuthen , Hochkirch and Landshut . In the meantime, Kalckreuth was promoted to second lieutenant on August 23, 1758 . On April 3, 1763, he was transferred to the 33rd Infantry Regiment "Fouqué" as Prime Lieutenant . There he became staff captain on August 30, 1765 . At the War of Bavarian Succession 1778/79 Kalckreuth took with his regiment as a captain and company commander in part. In the further course of his military career the king appointed him on July 29, 1789 as commander of the infantry regiment "von Götzen" No. 33. Two years later, Friedrich Wilhelm II drew him on the occasion of the revue at Neisse on August 26, 1791 for his long service with the order Pour le Mérite .

In 1798 he was appointed major general and chief of the infantry regiment "von Amaudruz" No. 4 , which then bore his name until 1806. In 1806 he was appointed lieutenant general. After the Peace of Tilsit, Kalckreuth diminished on October 10, 1807 with a pension of 1200 thalers and retired to his estate in Siegersdorf, where he also died.

family

Kalckreuth married Dorothea von Strauss (* 1754, † February 24, 1810 in Elbing ), the widow of the Austrian artillery captain Feuser , on September 25, 1785 in Glatz . His stepchildren Johann Heinrich (born January 29, 1770 in Glatz; † June 23, 1852) (married Luise Helene Fischer (1781–1849) in 1809) and Helene von Feuser (* 1778) were on September 29, 1800 in Berlin in the Prussian Nobility as raised by Kalckreuth. Helene later marries the officer Ernst von Collrepp. He and his wife have two other sons and three daughters, including:
