Economic Research Institute
An economic research institute is a research facility that researches and actively publishes current economic issues. Economic research institutes distinguish themselves from the universities , which are also focused on research , by their greater research intensity and greater practical relevance.
Economic research institutes can be state or privately funded; in reality there is often mixed financing. The institutes are often attached to universities in order to enable mutual benefit and know-how transfer.
