Wolferts is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren .

geography

The wasteland of Wolfert is about three kilometers southwest of Ottobeuren. The town is connected to the main town by the MN 18 county road .

history

The area around Wolferts has been settled since the early Bronze Age. In 1962, two edge ridge axes , five sickles and a chunk of cast iron were found on the eastern slope of the Hungerbach creek flowing past the community .

The wasteland was first mentioned in a document in 1493, when the Ottobeurer Gut Schießen was described as being located between the Niebers, Wolfharts and the Ottobeuren church . The Schwaige Wolferts was established as a dairy by the Ottobeuren monastery in 1712 .
