Eheim is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren on the Betzisried district in the Unterallgäu district .

geography

The village of Eheim is about five kilometers east of Ottobeuren. The place is connected to the Ottobeuren- Markt Rettenbach section of the 2013 state road via two municipal roads. A right tributary of the Schwelk rises in Eheim .

history

Eheim had 114 inhabitants in 1564. In 1811 13 fireplaces with 102 inhabitants were counted. The population decreased to 69 inhabitants by 1987. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the place came to the Ottobeuren market on January 1, 1972 through the incorporation of the municipality of Betzisried.
