Böglins is about two kilometers south of Ottobeuren. The place is directly connected to the main town by a country road.

history

Böglins was first mentioned in 1222 with the castle of the Knights of Böglins. Around 1200 the wasteland was owned by the Ottobeurer servant Heinrich von Böglins. This had other possessions in Betzisried . In 1564 Böglins had 14 inhabitants, in 1811 there were eleven.
