Hofs is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren in the Betzisried district .

geography

The village of Hofs is about four kilometers east of Ottobeuren. The place is connected to the main town via the state road St 2030 .

history

The settlement was first mentioned in a document in 1517. In 1564 the place had 101, 1811 on nine properties with ten fireplaces 68 inhabitants, 1987 there were 60 inhabitants. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the place came to the Ottobeuren market on January 1, 1972 through the incorporation of the municipality of Betzisried.

Attractions

The Leonhard Chapel was built around 1800 . Inside there is a crucifix with Mary and John from around 1770.
