Dennenberg is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren .

geography

The place Dennenberg is about three kilometers northwest of Ottobeuren on a hill. It is connected to the main town by the state road St 2011 .

history

During the term of office of Abbot Isingrim , the servant Berthold Getinbraiter von Denenberg gave individual goods in Dennenberg to the Ottobeuren monastery . A Berthold von Teninberg, who later entered the Ottobeuren monastery, is probably identical with Berthold von Denenberg and was first mentioned in 1170. In 1564 the place had 59 inhabitants.

Attractions

In the St. Joseph's Chapel there are Gothic, late Gothic and Baroque sculptures, including a Madonna around 1430/1440, a Saint Sebastian from 1470/1480 and a Saint George, which was created around 1690.
