Ollarzried is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren .
geography
The parish village of Ollarzried is about six kilometers southeast of Ottobeuren. It is connected to the main town via the MN 31 district road. The Boschachbach , a tributary of the western Günz, flows through the Ollarzried corridors .
history
Ollarzried was created in the first clearing period in the Central Swabian region. In 1416 Hans von Neidegg from Memmingen was wealthy in Ollarzried. Later Kempten citizens were wealthy in the place. In 1811 Ollarzried owned 35 houses with 243 residents together with Daßberg , Höhe , Oberried , Unterschochen and Vogelsang . In 1970 the place had 409 inhabitants. In 1686, the then abbot of the Ottobeuren monastery was asked for his own church. The chapel, which existed on site until then, became too small for the population. However, the foundation stone was not laid until 1797. 1805 Ollarzried was raised to a parish.
On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the Ottobeuren market.
