Reuthen is a district of the Upper Swabian market Ottobeuren .

geography

The hamlet of Reuthen is about three kilometers south of Ottobeuren. The place is connected to the main town via the state road St 2011 .

history

Reuthen was created as a clearing settlement around the year 1000. The settlement was first mentioned in a document in 1209. In the certificate, the dean and pastor of Hawangen and Stephansried , Heinrich von Rutin, gave his father an anniversary . In 1564 65 people lived in the hamlet and in 1811 there were 75 people on eleven properties. The population remained stable, in 1970 70 people lived in the hamlet.
